To celebrate the wonders of printmaking, I devised and delivered a paper stencil workshop for attendees to create a bespoke image and to print it onto a cloth tote bag.
The paper stencil method is a very simple process to produce a bespoke design and can be achieved whatever your age or ability. Photocopied inspiration was supplied to help with the creative process, these were either traced or adapted and drawn onto an A4 sheet of paper. Scissors were used to cut out the image, creating a positive and negative image to print.
A drop-in session works really well to allow people to engage with the process for as long as they like in order to produce their bespoke creation.
