STRUT Exhibition
11 – 1.30 and 2 – 4 pm.
Make and Take workshop looking at nurturing and growth using the practical workshop sowing a seed(s) of choice; through conversation, decide upon a wish/hope to commit to self/others and the duty of care for the seedling to grow. The activity is formed around using a jam/pickle jar to make a ‘mini greenhouse’ and create an environment for the seed to germinate, and when it appears through the soil, the lid is removed for the seedling to flourish.
Professional Development:
I have been enjoying learning a new skill to complement my textile knowledge and taking part in Lindsey Tyson’s online course ‘Transfer Printing onto Felt’. It is fantastic to dip in and out between commissions and immerse myself and develop production for exhibition and sale.

Weekend Course – Screenprint onto Textiles at West Yorkshire Print Workshop.
18th & 19th of May, 10 am to 4 pm and the 16th & 17th of November 10am to 4 pm.
Spend a weekend learning how to screen print onto textiles in West Yorkshire Print Workshop’s fully equipped workshop. You may choose a combination of t-shirts and tote bags or fabric if you wish to print repeat images and, after the course, construct them into a fashion or furnishing item.
This fun, hands-on course will cover the whole screen-printing textile process – from preparing and exposing images onto screens (using the photo-emulsion technique) to printing and fixing your designs using water-based, washable inks.
Great for hobbyists, those looking to learn a new skill or start a new textile product business!
