With a strong leaning towards the Arts from an early age my passion for textiles was ignited by Mrs Lancaster, Arts and Craft teacher during secondary school, after my schooling it was natural to advance towards Art College where I studied Surface Pattern Design and Fashion Textile Design.
Professionally I have worked in many areas of the Creative Industries from fashion textile designing, trend researching and fashion garment construction. At the start of the new millennium I studied to Degree level Scenography (Theatre Design and Technology) and started working professionally within Television and Theatre.
During this time I have also worked within the community and schools devising and delivering creative workshops covering textiles, screen printing, costume and general arts and crafts.
I am based in studio Two at West Yorkshire Print Workshop, Mirfield where I teach the Beginners course in Textile screen printing.
I exhibit regularly in group or solo exhibitions and undertake commissions.
